Water Safety
Nothing can be perfect on a summer day than a dip in the pool, ocean or local lake or private swimming pool. There are many hazards lurking beneath the water surface when it

water. In addition, keeping away from older children who are like to splashing, waves will also decrease the chance of your baby swallowing contaminated water.
Drowning is a serious summer safety issue. Many children are died because of this every year in summer. All children must be supervised when around water. Young children can
drown in water as shallow as two inches. No child should be considered safe and a good self rescuer around water, even if they are an avid swimmer. Parents should invest in life
vests and children should be supervised at all times while swimming, it’s better swimming after them, especially in the ocean. In addition, all pools should be gated with
child-proof, self-latching entrances. Gates should be tall enough that children cannot climb over them and built in such a way that children cannot squeeze through the rails or
posts.

Baby’s tender skin can’t to test in the hot sun, so it’s up to us to protect them. To ensure a fun day in the sun without feeling the burn, first use lather up baby with SPF
15 or higher. Apply the first round of sunscreen before you step out into the rays, at least a half-hour before sun exposure. Make sure to get every last inch of baby—don’t
forget those cute little ears, toes and any other areas the sun might kiss. Also, keep in mind that clothing and swim suits shift as baby moves so be sure to get underneath
them, otherwise baby may end up with a very red outline of what he was wearing. Waterproof sunscreen should be used if swimming, and all sunscreen should be reapplied at least
every 3 hours or after coming in contact with water or heavy sweating. Also, sunscreen is not recommended for babies under six months of age. If your baby is under six months
and must be out in the sun, additional protection such as an umbrella and appropriate clothing is a must.

Keep baby cool by avoiding long time of sun exposure, seeking shade, using protective clothing and umbrella to stop sun X-rays. Make sure the sunlight not hurt your baby’s
