what kind of sunscreen may be used if you have an allergy to sunscreens?
my boyfriend is allergic to sunscreen, they were not sure what he is allergic to but when you use it breaks out in hives. we have tried to protect without zinc solar burst yet. what type of sunscreen is used, or at least we try to keep on the counter ..?
Hello, there are many factors so it can be a cause / effect in this ...... 1. It could be the sunscreen I ....( if a chemical sunscreen, or fragrance, or any of aloe in it, or .... again, there are a lot of items added to the sunscreen and I understand ... as I have a sensitivity to it, so do not use at all .... much pain from my mother .... But I also do not get out for a long time in the sun / heat .... Which I come at a time) .. 2. It could be a reaction to the sun / heat, so .... you may be allergic to the sun. (Yes, I said that, and I mean .... not the same as when he learned that children need to be fully covered as they burn ALL evil UV rays, but rather you may be allergic to the sun, and usually a similar allergy heat ... does not always have to be hot to make the hives .... Sometimes, just being in direct Sun exposure will urticaria. .) 3. Some medications react with sunlight and heat. (I have this problem .... may be 60 degrees outside - which is not hot by any means if I'm doing ANYTHING outside .... but if I'm in direct sun is shining on me .... skin I am in it for 5-10 minutes, I will have very red skin and will burn and be painful, but not really burned ... Part of it is a reaction between my medications and the sun ... sometimes I have to take Benadryl for the skin to "cool ".....). 4. Sometimes it is part of a "skin / auto-immune 'condition .... either lupus or several other ...... Eczema can cause a reaction with sunscreen or sun exposure. My recommendation would be to see a dermatologist or allergist ..... and may need to see your primary care physician first to see them. Remember, they say you should get in contact with direct sunlight on the skin without sunscreen .... to help absorb the vitamin D. .... only takes a few minutes a day (5-20) ... but NEVER for 10 am-2 pm .... but if you have certain skin disorders, it is too dangerous to do that at all! Also, if you find it too allergic to sunscreen use, there are now many brands of clothing that has built in "sunrepellant" Protection UVB / UVA. I myself have received some long-sleeved shirts, lightweight clothing but ..... Columbia with a high SPF 50 ?.... and I got them during the spring release for only a few dollars in the major sports stores .... . holding GRAN! (And they are very comfortable in all weather summer!). I hope this information helps ..... --- ps if you are looking for something else that is a recipe that definitely needs to see a doctor ..... that has to be a dermatologist or allergist .... more likely.
